WE, THE MARINES

Without a doubt one of the craziest 30 minutes in a helicopter i’ve ever had.

I’m unsure if any of my footage even ended up in the final edit, but It was a great project to work on nonetheless.

I came on midway through the shoot at the Marine Corp Mountain Warfare Training Center in Bridgeport, California. There were some high angle shots on rope that I was tasked with filming.

Shortly after, I met up with production to film some scenes inside a helicopter during a training mission. It’s hard to describe the level of intensity of that short flight, but needless to say, I suspect none of the footage could ever be used in an IMAX theatre, through no fault of my own.
