The last tepui
When I was approached to work on this film, it was pitched as a more casual project than it turned out to be. It took weeks of thrashing through the jungle to get to the base of the wall, all while avoiding the three deadly s’s: snakes, spiders and scorpions.
Filming in the jungle is some of the gnarliest filming that one could ever attempt. As such, I would not suggest anybody attempt it. Not only are you constantly drying out every piece of electronic equipment you have with you, but you’re also drying out your saturated underwear as well.
As far as expeditions go, this was by far the wettest expedition i’ve ever worked on. Would highly recommend a rain cover for your camera and a poncho for yourself.
