Lost in the arctic
I was lucky enough to draw the normal sized straw, which meant I did not have to sail through the northwest passage with the rest of production, and instead met up with them in Gjoa Haven on King William Island.
We spent the next two weeks traversing the island on four-wheelers. searching for Sir John Franklin’s tomb, and camping under the midnight sun. While not as physically laborious as most expeditions, the four-wheelers proved to be a bigger nuisance than I initially anticipated, spending quite a bit of time maneuvering through one of the many bogs we had to cross.
One of the more difficult aspects of filming on this trip was dealing with not only the intense rainstorms that came through, but the clouds of mosquitos that usually followed said storms.
